| Sculpture carved from Oamaru Stone or Limestone. This Hei Matau sculpture is nestled within a square frame, with the straight sides accentuating the curves. Both sides are different, in a sense a male and female side. The masculine side steps out, is textured, and has straight edges, all providing contrast and shadow. The female side steps in, and is softer with curves. |
